Hoposa Hotel & Apartaments VillaConcha

This was our honeymoon and we asked some time in advance for the same room we had last year. We asked again a couple of days prior to arrival, but were told it was unavailable. Strange as seemingly unoccupied. This is a nice hotel, but very much family orientated, so not ideal for a couple. The staff are friendly and helpful and the breakfast is as good as we’ve had. The pool area can be a little airlesss and sunbeds go quickly. The sports pool is great for swimming lengths and all facilities are clean and well maintained. Sadly, there were no chairs .for hire along the lovely beach (council holding out for higher rentals) and a lovely beach bar from last year hadn’t opened. Rumour is this will be resolved soon. We hired some chairs via the hotel from Multi Hire, but one was damaged and the other way too heavy to carry. No refund, so beware. Especially if you’re over 12 stone! Lots of restaurants close by and many off the main drag are good value. We did the cruise to Formentor: a lovely beach, but rammed and if you’re not a good sailor, I’d think twice. Nice views of a lighthouse, but, well… Back to the hotel, we had a nice apartment, cleaned daily with hot plate, microwave and decent fridge. Free safe, if a little cumbersome behind sliding wardrobe doors which impeded drawers. Nice balcony, but suggest you ask for room 240, or either side for a sea glimpse. I’m not sure we’d come here again. The Pollentia on sea front is lovelier, but pricey! Same Hoposa Group though. Jet2 seem to have best deals. Ok, back to the football and nail biting!

Such a brilliant family hotel. Loads of entertainment in the pool and around the hotel itself. The location is perfect, just two mins to the beach and another 5-10 into the main town, where there are loads of restaurants and bars. There's a great atmosphere in the hotel, and the breakfast is absolutely top notch. The entertainment routine with the inflatables and the slide games are well done too. Would highly recommend for a family with young kids, as the pool can cater for most ages, and the mini-discos at night are good fun. Was tempted to chalk off a mark for them not showing the Germany v Scotland game, but that would be petty - and in any case, it was probably a blessing in disguise. Definitely going to come back here again.

Really really good hotel, my boyfriend and I went for 4 nights as a jet2 package holiday and it was amazing (we are 23y/o). Had a whole apartment to ourselves with balcony overlooking the pool. It was very peaceful and quiet especially at night, beautiful sunsets. the location felt super safe and was literally less than 3 min walk to the beach and 5 mins from Pine walk so ideal if you want some meals out/shopping/beach days. We spent most of the time by the pool as it was gorgeous, there were lots of family’s and good entertainment for the kids, obviously children playing can be noisy but in general it was a nice family atmosphere and not annoying at all haha (which I was initially concerned about). I would deffo recommend it for families having seen how much fun the kids were having. that being said there were plenty of couples and adults, especially those there for the cycling which was nice to see. The apartment was spotlessly clean, maids everyday and the kitchen was brilliant, well equipped for prepping lunches and cooking properly if you liked. Plenty of towels, bedding, air con in room, shampoo soap etc. the whole place was super spacious, bright and airy. The gym was great and empty when we went to use it, also the laned pool looked good if u wanted a proper undisturbed swim ( but u have to wear a cap so bring one). The only thing was you can’t drink the tap water so bring bottles for the first few hours you arrive, before you get chance to go to the shop. There is a Euromarket with loads of choice and several SPAR shops 5/10 min walk. We went half board which was fine but a few things to note. Breakfast was pretty good there was fruit, yogurt, cereal, hot drinks, juice, omelettes, sausages and bread/pastries so pretty ideal but slightly limited if u are gluten/dairy free like me. There was gluten free cereal and alternative milks but no gf bread, vegan alternatives etc, most vegetables were cooked in butter. dinner was fine (not as good as breakfast), not the biggest selection. The staples like pizza chips were very nice in all honesty, but the other choices were limited- there was paella, pasta, cuts of meat and salads but nothing particularly cohesive as a meal. I eat lots of unprocessed food at home and found it hard to get much variety here, I was either having fruit/salad everyday or eating the gluten/dairy options for variety and then feeling groggy. Don’t get me wrong the food was decent, it was tasty but when you venture out to pine walk and see the variety of restaurants and how close the shops are; next time we would opt to cook in more and have 1 meal out a day/every other day so we could eat what we liked- maybe bed and breakfast only. There is also no water provided at dinner and you have to buy drinks additionally, so bring your own bottle down to dinner. Excellent repeat visit, we chose B&B this time and found that better so that we could visit local restaurants. Facilities were as excellent as ever including the 25m pool which can be booked for lane swimming and the pretty family friendly pool area too. It is handy for the beach ( good at the moment as there are no sunbeds or other facilities such as toilets open on the beach due to a tendering error by the council). We will be back.

We have just returned from a week at Villaconcha, a family of 4 with 2 kids aged 8 and 4 and has a great time. It’s a small-medium sized hotel which was perfect for us as we could keep an eye on the kids easily but let them have some freedom. Location - fab, 5 mins walk from the beach, nearest restaurants also 5 mins, about 10-15mins (with a 4 year old walking!) into town where there are loads of amazing restaurants and playgrounds. Room - clean, had a kitchenette with microwave, hob, fridge and small freezer. We had an apartment with separate bedroom, kids were on a sofa bed where one of the beds slid out on the floor (which is good for younger kids). We were in room 001 which was super convenient for the pool but a little noisy as it was next to the lift. Noise finished by 11pm though as it is a very family oriented hotel. Overall was perfect for us as it meant we could easily pop back whilst at the pool to get stuff inc food/drinks. For kids - there are 2 pools next to each other plus some small slides, a playground and trampoline. About half way through the week the kids entertainment started for the season. A very informal kids club (you don’t check them in) where they can join in with activities as they wish. There is also a small soft play. From 3-4pm the inflatables are open in the lap pool for everyone to enjoy! Plenty of kids for the kids to make friends with but no blaring music or anything like that. Breakfast - lovely buffet with omelettes / fried eggs cooked to order. I’m coeliac and found enough to eat including gluten free cereal. Cycling - my husband hired a road bike for the week. Super convenient on site and great storage. Very close to popular cycling routes. Towels - you can hire for 10€ each deposit which is returned at the end of your seat Sunbeds - we were there in May half term and as long as you were there by 9 you could get beds. We didn’t one day but by lunchtime some had freed up. Overall we would definitely recommend the hotel to families looking for a chilled out vibe. Close to great restaurants and bars.

An amazing hotel. Super location and really friendly staff, they cannot do enough for you. Everyone we met along the way, reception staff, cleaning staff, lifeguards and catering staff were all very nice and friendly. Hotel is kept immaculate. Cleaned every morning. Facilities were super. Pools, showers, soft play for kids, bike storage with free washing and drying machines (just need your own wash tablet).

Second time and will be back for a third. Fabulous hotel ideally situated for both cycling and relaxing. The facilities are great for cyclists and swimmers but if you just want to chill and relax it’s great for that too. The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The staff are friendly and nothing is ever too much trouble.

The Hotel is very beautiful set in a perfect location with many things do around and many activities within the hotel the staff are really nice and friendly and very polite, Especially Ariadnee she was so wonderful and accommodating for us I had many fond conversations with her and I can't wait to go back. Definitely recommend.
